We cordially invite all of our past, present, or future members of the First Baptist Family to join us for our 75th Diamond Jubilee Celebration!
We are located in beautiful Fairbanks, Alaska. It is Alaska’s second-largest city – Hub of the Interior, Gateway to the Bush, the Golden Heart City.
Our vision is clear...To Prepare for Rain
A story is told of two farmers that went to church every Sunday and prayed for rain. Only one farmer went back and planted his crops and prepared for it. Which farmer demonstrated more faith?
First Baptist Church has been called to prepare for rain. We welcome our new Worship Ministry Team, so we can be prepared for rain. We are seeking God's servants called to lead our Children's Program...so we can be prepared for rain. We are praying every day for guidance and direction so that we can be prepared for rain.
Join us as we await God's blessings and prepare for rain.
Our mission is simple. Spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth...starting in our own backyard.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
First Baptist welcomes our partners in the ministry whose churches meet in our facility.
Fairbanks Hispanic Foursquare Church meets here at 1:30 pm on Sunday. Join Pastor Buena Ventura Alas and his wife, Sayda, and their church family in worship and service to the Lord. Translation is available.
Frontier Baptist Church meets here at 4:00 pm on Sunday. Their calling is to serve the students of UAF and the true Alaskan people. Join Pastor James Suh and their church family in worship and service to the Lord.
Our "Jerusalem," the Fairbanks area, is home to just over 100,000 hearty souls that need Jesus Christ, making this region the second-largest population center in Alaska. The city features a university, an Army post, and an Air Force Base and is known for dog mushing, northern lights, and its extremes of light, dark, warmth, and cold. In winter, temperatures as low as -62 degrees have been recorded and we've seen Our 90's in the summer. Winter nights are short, but summer days are nice and long when Fairbanks enjoys more than 22 hours of daylight when the solstice arrives on June 21.
Keep monitoring our 75th Diamond Jubilee Celebration page for more information as it comes out.
We are called to give some of the blessings we've been given back to the Lord for His work.
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
You're invited to join us and become part of the FBC Family!
